The Accra Metropolitan Assembly in collaboration with the Advertising Association of Ghana has pulled down billboards that have been illegally mounted in parts of the capital city, Accra. The AMA in a joint operation with the AAG began the exercise in the early hours of Sunday January 28 on some principal streets of Accra. A Wall Street Journal report on Friday alleged that the 76-year-old billionaire harassed massage therapists and forced one staff member to have sex with him. The Ministry of Education has directed private university colleges to do “self-auditing” to ensure that the right students are admitted before it cracks the whip on those that are guilty. Minister of State in charge of Tertiary Education, Prof. Kwesi Yankah, who gave the directive, said an ongoing audit report on randomly selected private university colleges in the country revealed a disturbing and an embarrassing state. The police have arrested the man suspected to have pulled the trigger that killed the Chief Inspector Emmanuel Ashilevi, during a dawn raid at the Kwabenya police station. The suspected killer, 28-year-old Kofi Seshie, and his accomplices were arrested by the Accra Regional Police Command at Kasoa in the Central Region in the morning on Saturday, January 27. Air Force One is primed to receive an upgrade that will include new refrigerators expected to cost American taxpayers nearly $24 million. The US Air Force awarded Boeing a $23.6 million contract in December to replace two of the five “cold chiller units” aboard the aircraft used by President Donald Trump. “The current rear lower lobe cold chiller units being replaced are the original commercial equipment delivered with the aircraft in 1990.
