The Ghana Highway Authority has set load restriction on the Buipe and Yapei bridges on the Kintampo – Tamale trunk road due to the continuous deteriorating condition of the two major bridges. Ghana’s tourism sector has for the first time in 10 years, recorded its worst performance in Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) in the first quarter of this year, statistics from the Ghana Investment Promotion Centre (GIPC) have shown Although FDI constitute about 49 per cent of investments into the sector,  its share in the sector has been declining. Management of the Ghana Institute of Journalism (GIJ) says it will revive plans to construct student hostels at the Institute’s new site at Okponglo in Accra once a new governing council is inaugurated. Suspects in police cells at Dadieso Police Station in the Suaman District of the Western Region have been escaping from cells due to the weakened dilapidated mud structure housing the station. The Suaman District Police Commander, Supt.
