The Minister of Communication, Ursula Owusu-Ekuful, has warned all government agencies and MMDAs to immediately migrate onto the official government email domain before the end of the year. The Ghana Police Service has warned perpetrators and criminals to stop senseless attacks on its personnel in the country. Addressing the passing–out of some police recruits, the Director General in- Charge of Police Administration, COP James Oppong Buenu, said all criminally minded people who have made police officers their target must revise their notes. In all 556 police recruits were passed out after their six month training programme at the Police Training School at Patasi in Kumasi. Kenyan police say they have shot dead an attacker who forced his way into the rural home of Kenya’s Deputy President William Ruto, ending a siege that lasted several hours. Mr Ruto and his family were not at the compound near the western city of Eldoret at the time. Counter-terrorism police in Australia have stopped a suspected plot to bring down an aeroplane, Prime Minister Malcolm Turnbull has said. He was speaking after four people were arrested in raids across Sydney. Investigators said they had seized materials in the raids that could have been used to make an improvised explosive device. Mr Turnbull said the raids had been a “major joint counter-terrorism operation”. He said extra security was in place at domestic and international airports. The Minister of Agriculture, Dr. Owusu Afriyie Akoto has been accused of spending 20 million dollars on wrong pesticides that lacked the efficacy to deal with the troubling fall armyworms. The President of Malta, Mrs Marie Louise Coleiro Preca, left Accra Friday evening after a three-day state visit. North Korea has hailed as a success its latest test of an intercontinental ballistic missile (ICBM), describing it as a “stern warning” for the US.
