The University Teachers Association of Ghana (UTAG) has threatened to strike in the next two weeks if the government fail to set up governing councils for the various public universities across the country. Members of the Association say they are not happy at the slow pace attitude adopted by the Akufo-Addo administration in putting in place the councils, six months after taking over the governance of the country. The absence of a police officer prosecuting the assault case against 13 members of Delta Force has caused the Kumasi Circuit Court to adjourned the case to August 8. Head coach of Kumasi Asante Kotoko is in critical condition at the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital after the bus of the team crashed into a stationary car Wednesday night, leaving the team’s assistant equipment officer dead.
