File photo[/caption] The convoy of the Vice President, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia’s has been involved in an accident on the Yendi-Tamale road, state-owned Graphic Online reports. The Vice President was in Yendi on Friday to participate in the funeral of Yaa Naa Mahamadu Abdulai. According to the online portal, the convoy was crossed by a taxicab. Meanwhile, the taxi driver and a passenger in the taxi are said to be in a critical condition. Some members of Dr. Bawumia’s security detail were treated for minor injuries. 3news.com’s source at the Office of the Vice President confirmed the incident but said Dr. Bawumia had passed before it happened. “The soldiers car which was last in the convoy had the accident,” the source said.
