Ayesem wins ultimate at 2019 RTC Western Music Awards

Stephen Siaw, known in showbiz circles as Ayesem, has been adjudged Artiste of the Year at last weekend’s Western Music Awards organized by West-line Entertainment at the Plus Atlantic Hotel in Takoradi.

This is the first time the ‘Koti’ hitmaker has won the flagship award, after Kofi Kinaata.

The event celebrated artistes, Disc Jockeys (DJs), entertainment show hosts and other talents from the Western Region.

The event, which is in its 3rd edition, saw performances from The Township, El Manuel, Demzi, Agbana, Corp Sayvee, Highlife Legend AB Crentsil, Semenhyia, Ras Ebo, Nemesis Loso, Nero X, Ray James, Ayesem and an all-female performance in honour of the #BringBackOurTaadiGirls campaign.

Aside the ultimate Artiste of the Year, Ayesem also won the Hiplife Artiste of the Year.

Legendary A.B Crentsil and Kwaw Ansah received Lifetime Achievement Awards.

Present at the event were the Western Region Minister, Kobby Okyere Darko Mensah, who doubles as Member of Parliament for Takoradi Constituency, MCE for Sekondi-Takoradi Anthony K.K. Sam, Western Region Director of Ghana National Service, Okatakyie Amankwaa Afrifa, Chief of Apremdo Nana Egya Kwamina XI, amongst others.
