Award-winning songwriter and singer Akwaboah Jnr says he is expecting “plenty” nominations for this year’s Vodafone Ghana Music Awards (VGMAs).
He said he expects to win at least four awards this year.
In an interview on TV3’s Music Music on Saturday, Akwaboah Jnr born Gladstorm Kwabena Akwaboah Jnr said he is highly expectant of the 20th edition of the flagship music awards.
Nominations for the awards were opened in January.
The musician behind the Matters of the Heart album said videos of songs on that album will be out in 2019.
Among the hit songs on that album are Hye Me Bo, Love Unfair and Obiba.
He has so far won received five nominations at the VGMAs, having won one – Songwriter of the Year in 2010.
He expressed delight in his career and said he is really having fun.
“I love to do music because you have fun and you are getting paid [at the same time].”
