Happiness: A Universal Right and the Cornerstone of Human Development

On this International Day of Happiness, the Raelian Movement reaffirms its commitment to promoting happiness as a fundamental pillar of human progress and global peace. Happiness is not merely a personal pursuit—it is a basic human right, and Happiness schools should be established in every city, ensuring that individuals have the tools to cultivate it.

“Happiness is encoded in our DNA. Never feel guilty about nurturing your own happiness. Taking care of your happiness while others suffer is not selfish. It is precisely to stop these sufferings that we MUST spread and develop happiness. Happiness is the only solution to save Humanity because it brings Love,“ said Rael, founder and spiritual leader of the International Raelian Movement in a recent address.

To truly place happiness at the heart of human culture, the Raelian Movement calls on governments worldwide to establish a Ministry of Happiness. This institution would ensure that policies prioritize well-being, emotional fulfillment, and social harmony, rather than being solely driven by economic and political agendas.

Several nations have already made significant strides in this direction:

– The United Arab Emirates created a Ministry of Happiness in 2016 to promote national well-being.

– The Kingdom of Bhutan measures progress using Gross National Happiness (GNH) rather than GDP.

– Several Scandinavian nations have integrated happiness into public policy, leading to the world’s highest well-being scores.

“If happiness and peace are inseparable, then true leadership lies in ensuring that every citizen has the conditions to live in harmony,” added [Raelian Spokesperson]. “A Ministry of Happiness is not just a symbolic gesture—it is a necessity for the future of humanity.”

Happiness Must Be the Lodestar of Civilization

The Raelian Movement organizes yearly Happiness Academies on every continent where individuals can learn the tools to maintain their levels of love and harmony at every moment in their lives.

“Scientific research on meditation is clear—stress-related diseases can be eliminated if individuals, communities, and governments prioritize happiness as the core of development,” said [spokesperson]. “On March 20th, we will express this vision through global actions, just as Raelians do in their daily lives and communities.”

About the Raelian Movement

The Raelian Movement is a global philosophical organization dedicated to spreading love, scientific progress, and happiness as the path to true human enlightenment. Inspired by the teachings of Rael, the movement advocates for a world built on peace, harmony, and the recognition of the extraterrestrial origins of life.
