Authorities in Burkina Faso have begun the spillage of the Bagre Dam with warning given about the “voluminous” and “high speed” water. According to Sonabel, Burkina Faso’s power company, the water is moving at 95.4 cubic meters per second. As a result, it is expected to get to Ghana within 72 hours after spillage, which was started at exactly 6:49 am on Friday, August 31. A man who plotted to kill the prime minister in a suicide attack has been sentenced to life in prison with a minimum term of 30 years. Naa’imur Zakariyah Rahman, 21, from north London, was convicted last month of preparing acts of terrorism. Rahman had planned to detonate a bomb at the gates of Downing Street and then kill Theresa May with a knife or gun. In a one-of-a-kind collaboration between Israeli Defence Force (IDF) and the Ghana Armed Forces (GAF), a team of seven officers is scheduled to arrive in Ghana to hold a three-day counter-terrorism training to the Ghana Armed Forces’ 64 Regiment Special Unit. Magistrate at the Donkorkrom Magistrate Court His Worship Augustine Akusar-Am has slapped two women with a 12-month bond of good behaviour each for selling poisonous puffer fish.
