Immediate past Director General of the Social Security and National Insurance Trust (SSNIT) Ernest Thompson says he is unaware of any investigation or audit conducted by PricewaterhouseCoopers as he was not invited by any body for such purposes. Minister of Interior Ambrose Dery has admonished Ghanaians not to take the peace enjoyed for granted given the zero record of extremist attacks in the country. Two persons have been arrested by the Northern Regional Police Command for writing the ongoing West Africa Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE) for some two candidates. The suspects Zakaria Abdul Rauf, 24, and Tanko Baba, 17, were arrested at the WAEC Hall in Tamale during the Mathematics II(Core) paper, Northern Regional Police Public Relations Officer ASP Yussif Tanko revealed. Saul ‘Canelo’ Alvarez has been banned for six months after failing two drugs tests earlier this year. The Mexican middleweight, 27, said eating contaminated meat was the reason he tested positive for clenbuterol on 17 and 20 February.
