Twenty-seven out of the total of 38 workers at the Savelugu-Nanton Municipal Assembly failed to show up on Friday as the entrance to the assembly was locked up by some aggrieved members of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) in the municipality. A visit by 3news.com revealed that the workers including the secretary at the office of the Municipal Chief Executive were absent as for fear of their lives. A jury deliberating Bill Cosby’s sex assault trial has told the judge they are deadlocked on day four of their deliberations. But the judge has instructed the panel to return to continue trying to reach a verdict. If the seven men and five women cannot reach a unanimous decision a mistrial will be declared. Prime Minister Theresa May has ordered a full public inquiry into the fire that engulfed a west London block of flats, killing at least 17 people. Multiple award-winning teen actor Abraham Attah and the Hero Film Crew have donated Toms shoes to underprivileged school children in the Northern Region. Cheick Tiote’s body has been flown back to Ivory Coast where a private funeral for the Beijing Enterprises midfielder will take place.
