The Ministry of Defense has entered into an agreement with private developers Markin Hills Ltd and CTT Consult for the commencement of works on a major housing project in Adomorobe in the Kpone Katamanso District of the Greater Accra Region. The Netherlands Ambassador to Ghana, Ron Strikker, has questioned why the Government of Ghana would rather not pursue what he has termed a “Ghana Beyond Corruption” as against the “Ghana Beyond Aid” agenda. A group calling itself the ‘Concerned Katangees’ is demanding the “immediate release” of the five students of KNUST arrested by the Police Thursday for ‘illegal gathering’ around the university campus. The students, who are members of the University Hall, popularly known as Katanga, and some alumni had gathered at Maxima, about 3 kilometres from the KNUST campus, holding placards such as “We want our hall back’ and ‘Kum y3n pr3ko”.
