A 47-year-old man has under a strange circumstance, stabbed his six-year-old son to death at Diabene, a farming community within the Sekondi/Takoradi metropolis of the Western Region. The Monetary Policy Committee of the Bank of Ghana kept the policy rate unchanged at 16 per cent for the third session in a row, citing a slowdown in the pace of fiscal consolidation due to gaps in revenue mobilization. Eighteen persons engaged in open defecation at various locations within the Cape Coast metropolis have been arrested by the police in the Central Region in a special operation to clamp down on criminals. The operation saw the team of metro environmental officers and personnel from the Regional Police Command visit Bakaano, Ntsin, Amanful, Brofoyedru, Idan, Jubilee Park, Ola, London Bridge, Abura and Duako.
