Popular dancehall musician Shatta Wale has revealed that after he had a call from the management of Beyoncé to feature him on a song, for about five minutes he thought he was asleep. Penplusbytes has announced the launch of a new project aimed at helping social media users to self-regulate themselves in the use of social media. The “Media and Information Literacy” project will enable social media users to create content responsibly. Executive Director of Penplusbytes, Ms Juliet Amoah, announced this Thursday on TV3 Newday. The Public Procurement Authority (PPA) has received a Quality Choice Prize Award from the European Society for Quality Research (ESQR).  The award was presented to the PPA in Berlin in recognition of its prominent initiatives and the demonstration of exceptional leadership in quality management that have delivered significant savings to Ghana’s economy. There are about 52,000 female commercial sex workers in Ghana, a health professional at the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital has revealed. Quoting a UNAIDS report, Dr Ernest Kwako said the population of female sex workers in Ghana is increasing, noting those involved in the trade always claim to be “traders” because female sex work is criminalised under Act 29 in the country. According to him, there are hidden and imaginary population of female sex workers in most jurisdictions in Africa including Ghana.
