Security Analyst Colonel Festus Aboagye has accused government of dealing with the kidnapping of some two Canadian girls more proactively than that of the three kidnapped in Takoradi. Governance expert Dr. Eric Oduro Osae says the research conducted by some faculty members of the Political Science Department of the University of Ghana has exposed the lack of sensitization and understanding on governance issues amongst citizens. The Hong Kong government is set to delay a highly controversial plan to allow extraditions to mainland China, local media report. Chief Executive Carrie Lam has refused to scrap the bill, but in recent days a number of advisers have urged her to suspend it.
