The police in Central Region are on a manhunt for a 33-year-old woman, an ex-convict, for allegedly abducting a nine-month-old baby boy from the parents at Agona Swedru. Patricia Gordoh was released from the Nsawam Prison last Saturday having served a year for committing similar offence, and went on to abduct the baby the next day from a church. She was said to have on Sunday morning struck acquaintance with the father of the child, James Ayesu, who is the head pastor of the Salvation House Prayer Ministry. Education Minister Dr. Matthew Opoku Prempeh says government has no intention whatsoever to interfere in the management of tertiary institutions in the country. Three more persons have been arrested by the Ashanti Regional Police in connection with the kidnapping of the two Canadian women in Kumasi last week. They are Masaud Ibrahim, Moro Issaka and Yusif Mohammed. This brings to 11 the number of persons arrested in connection with the crime. Eight of the suspects, made up of five Ghanaians and three Nigerians, were arrested on Wednesday were Friday arraigned before court on charges of kidnapping. GOIL Company Limited has rectified the issue of under-delivering of products at two of its fuel service stations in Accra. A recent routine checks by the Ghana Standards Authority (GSA) revealed 10 fuel service stations in Greater Accra were under-delivering petroleum products from their pumps to customers, and consequently fined each of them 5,000 cedis.
