Sudanese opposition activists have rejected an offer of talks from the country’s military council, saying it cannot be trusted amid a violent crackdown on protesters. Doctors linked to the opposition on Wednesday said at least 100 people had been killed by a paramilitary unit in the capital, Khartoum. The rape lawsuit against Juventus star Cristiano Ronaldo has been dropped, according to a report from Bloomberg on Wednesday. A notice of voluntary dismissal was filed last month in Nevada state court in Las Vegas. The filing did not say whether the accuser, American woman Kathryn Mayorga, had reached a settlement with Ronaldo. Government has tightened up the curfew in the Bole township of the Savannah Region following the firing of gunshots to disrupt this year’s Eid-Ul-Fitr prayers Wednesday.
