Three carjackers have shot and inflicted knife wounds on a 38-year-old taxi driver near Ankaful in the Central Region. Kingsford Afedzie, a.k.a Joe, was shot in the hand by the carjackers in a desperate move to snatch his car key, but when that failed, they stabbed him in the abdomen causing his intestines to gush out. Hundreds of Muslims in Bole in the Savannah Region were forced abandon their Eid-Ul-Fitr prayers Wednesday morning following the firing of gunshots at the event grounds as a result of a chieftaincy dispute in the area. Two Canadian women on an exchange programme in Kumasi have allegedly been kidnapped in the Ashanti Regional capital. Police in the region have been tight-lipped on the Monday night incident which occurred around Vienna City.
