Fisher folks at the Tema Canoe Beach have appealed to government to establish a marine bank in the country to provide the needed financial support to the fishing sector. Nii Odametey, Tema Awudum Chief Fisherman, explained that if the country had a bank totally dedicated to the marine sector, fisher folks would access soft loans  to expand the businesses and also cushion them during the closed season. A dog in northern Thailand has rescued a newborn baby after it was buried alive, allegedly by its teenage mother. The baby boy is said to have been abandoned by his mother, 15, to hide her pregnancy from her parents. Ping Pong the dog was barking and digging in a field in Ban Nong Kham village. Its owner says he then noticed a baby’s leg sticking out of the earth. Locals rushed the baby to hospital where doctors cleaned him up and declared he was healthy. The Kumasi Metropolitan Assembly has expressed its readiness to partner Media General in growing Small and Medium Scaled Enterprises in Ghana. President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo has opened the Sakogu Senior High Technical Day School. The President also commissioned a 120 bed capacity dormitory for Nakpanduri Business Senior High School.
