Figures from the Bank of Ghana (BoG) have shown that the profitability of commercial banks in the country declined by almost 10 per cent in 2018, but the central bank says overall, the banking industry remains strong. A funeral is being held for a 26-year-old woman who gave birth to a baby boy on Thursday despite being brain dead since December. International sportswoman Catarina Sequeira was declared brain dead after an acute asthma attack at her home. The baby, named Salvador, was born when she was almost 32 weeks pregnant and is being cared for in a neonatal hospital. The Wildlife Division of the Forestry Commission with funding from the European Union has begun a head count of animals at the Mole National Park in the Savanna Region. The six-month programme dubbed ‘Every Animal Count’ began on February 27, 2019 and expected to end in late August, 2019.
