QuadrigaCX’s founder Gerald Cotten, 30, died “due to complications with Crohn’s disease” while travelling in India to open an orphanage in December, his wife Jennifer Robertson said. Alumni of Swiss Management Centre, Switzerland (SMC) University have taken exception to a publication in the Daily Graphic that doctorate degrees awarded by the institute are non-research. The publication was on the February 4, 2019 edition of the newspaper. The Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) has issued a warning to all its students, stating it will no longer tolerate crude and sexually offensive conducts, particularly from male students. Three of the four persons arrested for forcing three senior high school students at Akomadan in the Ashanti Region to eat raw chicken they allegedly stole, have been sentenced to a total fine of 16,200 cedis. Abukari Anaba, Prince Antwi and Peter Owusu Oduomi are to pay 5,400 each or in default, serve 12 months in jail. The alleged Takoradi serial killer kidnapper, Samuel Wills, is expected to appear in court on Monday February 11 to face judgment for breaking from police cells where he was being held to assist in investigations into some kidnappings. Two gunshots were allegedly fired Monday afternoon close to the Ghana Institute of Journalism (GIJ) in Accra in an attempt to stop an alleged kidnaping incident.
