The Ghana Rugby Football Union (GRFU) Board approved the appointment of Mr Ernest Hanson as a Board Member on Monday 19 February 2018. Hanson joins with over 20 years Rugby playing experience. He played schoolboy rugby at Clifton College in the UK and another three years at Gloucester Rugby Academy until the age of 21. Five women have been killed in a shooting at a church in Russia’s volatile republic of Dagestan. Five others, including a police officer and a national guardsman, were injured, Russian officials said. Two are said to be in a critical condition. Acting principal of the Ankaful Psychiatric Nurses’ Training College, Simon Dorgedon, is being accused of misappropriating a little over GHC8, 000 belonging to the school. Mr. Dorgedon, according to some anonymous staff of the school, paid himself an amount of GHC943.20 on February 14 as allowance for marking end of first semester examination scripts of trainees. It emerged, however, that Mr. Dorgedon did not take part in the marking of the examination scripts. The New Patriotic Party (NPP) has announced its primaries to elect constituency executives, which were scheduled for Wednesday, have been moved to Saturday, February 24.
