WhatsApp has started allowing users to “dismiss” administrators of group chats. The messenger app has built a new feature, called “Dismiss As Admin”, that lets group admins demote other group admins, and take control of conversations. If you use it on someone, they’ll lose all of their admin privileges, and become standard group chat participants instead. Only group admins are allowed to add participants to an existing chat. The Transport Ministry has given operators of Uber a one month ultimatum to brand the vehicles into taxi or face their wrath. This directive comes after Commercial Taxi Drivers Association petitioned the Transport Ministry over what they describe as breach of LI 2180 by Uber operators. According to the association, the LI demands that all taxi operators brand their vehicles in the accepted taxi colours and display a taxi sign on top of their vehicles. The University of Mines and Technology in Tarkwa has been named after George Paa Grant who founded the UGCC and was very instrumental in the processes leading to the attainment of Ghana’s independence.
