Parliament on Monday suspended the approval of the 2018 budget estimates for the services of the Office of the Senior Minister, after an application by the Minority Leader that the office had to be backed by legislation. Felix Mensah Nii Annang-La, the Tema Metropolitan Chief Executive pointed out that Akufo-Addo’s open campaign against making the President leader of the NPP showed how modest he was and that would become exemplary for subsequent leaders. “Power is sweet and enjoyable and if His Excellency was interested in annexing all powers, he would have backed the proposal to make every sitting NPP President, starting with…
Athletics anti-doping officials have launched an investigation into what IAAF president Lord Coe called “serious allegations” about world champion sprinter Justin Gatlin’s coach and an agent. The Daily Telegraph said an agent linked to Gatlin, Robert Wagner, offered to “illicitly supply performance-enhancing drugs” to undercover reporters. And it said Gatlin’s coach, former Olympic gold medallist Dennis Mitchell, told reporters that athletes are able to get away with doping because the drugs they use cannot be detected by tests. Both deny the allegations. The paper said the journalists had posed as representatives of a film company wanting to make a sports…

Prophet Nicholas Osei, popularly known as Prophet Kumchacha, founder and leader of the Heaven’s Gate Ministries, has threatened to cause the manager of Castro to go mad.
