The President, Nana Akufo-Addo has revealed that his victory in the 2016 elections was made possible by deep-rooted conflicts among the followers of his successor John Mahama and former president Rawlings. A lawyer for a group set up to help Donald Trump’s transition to the White House has accused special counsel Robert Mueller of unlawfully obtaining thousands of emails. Kory Langhofer made the comments in a letter to congressional committees. But a spokesperson for Mr Mueller said the “appropriate criminal process” had been followed. The Ministry of Trade and Industry has vehemently denied claims that foreigners were made to pay as high as $100,000 to be seated close to President Nana Akufo-Addo at an event. President Nana Akufo-Addo says it would be disastrous for the governing New Patriotic Party (NPP) to ban members holding dual citizenship from contesting for positions in the party. Though he said he is aware of the challenge that amendment sought to address, he preferred another means is rather used. The National Petroleum Authority has announced that prices of petroleum products at the pumps would remain stable over the pricing window: 16th December to 31st December 2017. “This is as a result of a marginal drop of fuel prices on the world market. The exchange rate has also remained relatively stable,” NPA said in a statement on Saturday.
