President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo has in a query letter asked the Trade and Industry Minister, Mr Alan Kyerematen to explain circumstances that led to financial demands from the expatriate business community who took part in a recent awards ceremony. A Juvenile Court in Kumasi has remanded into custody, three boys who allegedly raped a teenager in Kumasi and captured the act on tape. The three, who were arraigned on charges of conspiracy and attempted rape, had their plea reserved to allow police prosecutors conclude investigations in the case that shocked the nation earlier this week. Uber is officially a transport company and not a digital service, the European Court of Justice (ECJ) has ruled. The ride-hailing firm argued it was an information society service – helping people to make contact with each other electronically – and not a cab firm. The Electoral Commission has 12 months, starting January 1, 2018, to register every eligible Ghanaian resident outside the country and enable them to vote in the 2020 general elections and any referendum. The Accra-Aburi road that was partially closed at the Ayi Mensah–Peduase Lodge section would be opened to the motoring public Wednesday. The Accra-bound carriageway was closed in June this year.
