Ghanaian Mathematician, Professor Francis Kofi Ampenyin Allotey has died at the age of 85. Information gathered by 3news.com said the renowned mathematician died on Thursday, 2nd November 2017. Professor Allotey was billed to attend UNESCO conference on Saturday November 4, but died on Thursday night after complaining of illness in the morning. He was the Chairman of Board of Trustees of the Accra Institute of Technology (AIT), and the President of the Ghana Academy of Arts and Sciences (GAAS). At least 741 civilians died in “execution-style killings” by Islamic State militants during the battle for the Iraqi city of Mosul, the UN says. The Shai Osudoku District Assembly has directed all companies that have signed contracts with the Assembly within the last six years to submit the relevant documents covering the said contracts or risk termination.
