Dennis Edward Miracles Aboagye, a previous mouthpiece for the 2024 flagbearer of the opposition New Patriotic Party (NPP), Dr Mahamudu Bawumia, has boldly proclaimed himself an “agenda boy.”
Addressing speculations suggesting his desire for a high-ranking position within the party, Aboagye adamantly declared his support for party members aspiring for leadership roles. He emphasized his dedication to working for the party’s success rather than seeking personal gain.
In a recent interview, Aboagye clarified that he has no interest in pursuing any executive positions, dispelling rumors circulated within the party. He expressed concern over potential threats to his safety due to his increasing prominence within the party, aiming to prevent any attempts to undermine or harm him.
Aboagye highlighted the importance of unity within the party, dismissing claims that he harbors ambitions for top leadership positions that could provoke internal discord. Refuting allegations of self-promotion and power-seeking, he reaffirmed his commitment to serving the party’s interests without personal aspirations.
Amidst preparations for upcoming national executive elections, Aboagye found himself targeted by a few individuals seeking to tarnish his reputation. Despite facing opposition from a small faction within the party, he remained resilient and determined to continue his contributions to the NPP.
Throughout his political career, Aboagye emphasized his principles of not lobbying for positions and relying on meritocracy for advancement. He recalled instances of rejoining the government without soliciting favors, underscoring his integrity and dedication to public service.
In response to criticisms and attacks aimed at undermining his influence, Aboagye dismissed them as attempts to discredit his popularity and potential impact on the party dynamics. He remained steadfast in his stance of non-interference with the party’s internal affairs, emphasizing his loyalty and altruistic motives.
As he navigates the complexities of party politics, Aboagye remains steadfast in his role as an “agenda boy,” dedicated to supporting fellow party members and upholding the NPP’s values and objectives.
