Former National Democratic Congress (NDC) Constituency Chairman, Ebenezer Arkutu, has heaped praises on Dr. Cassiel Ato Forson, expressing confidence in his potential to emerge as the best Finance Minister in Ghana’s Fourth Republic.

According to Mr. Arkutu, Dr. Forson’s remarkable attributes, including his humanity, resilience, and discernment, uniquely position him to make a significant impact in his new role.

Speaking on Dr. Forson’s suitability for the high office, in an interview, Arkutu emphasized that while the Finance Minister’s extensive experience, qualifications, and accomplishments are noteworthy, it is his deep sense of humanity and unwavering resilience that stand out as the defining traits for his anticipated success. These qualities, coupled with his gift of discernment, make him an exceptional leader poised to steer Ghana’s economy in the right direction.

“Dr. Ato Forson’s humanity and resilience, more than his vast experience, qualifications, and achievements, guarantee his success and greatness in office,” Arkutu said. He further added that Forson’s ability to make sound judgments places him on the right course of history, equipping him to make a meaningful difference during his tenure.

The former Chairman of Ayawaso Central constituency also underscored the critical role of grassroots support in the NDC’s agenda for a better Ghana. He noted that the party’s grassroots members are eager and ready to offer their cooperation, support, and sense of urgency to ensure the smooth implementation of government policies and programs under Dr. Forson’s leadership. This partnership, he said, will be pivotal in driving the Reset Agenda and creating economic policies that resonate with the needs of the average Ghanaian.

Dr. Ato Forson, who is also the Member of Parliament for the Ajumako-Enyan-Esiam constituency, has garnered widespread respect for his expertise in finance and economics. His tenure as Finance Minister is expected to focus on rebuilding the country’s economy, addressing debt concerns, and fostering sustainable growth to improve the lives of all Ghanaians.

The Finance Minister was sworn into office together with five others on Wednesday, January 22, 2025 by President John Dramani Mahama at a short ceremony at the Jubilee House.

With the backing of the NDC’s grassroots movement and his track record of excellence, Arkutu is confident that Dr. Ato Forson will cement his place in history as a transformative leader in Ghana’s financial sector.
