Workers and students of the African University College of Communications (AUCC) eulogized their outgoing President, Dr. Koryoe Anim-Wright at a send-off reception held in her honour on Tuesday, May 08, 2018. Dr. Anim-Wright was described as a strong woman who brought a lot of transformation to the University College, during her tenure as Dean of the Sam E. Jonah School of Business and as President of the University College. Mr. Frank Amewuga, Associate Dean of the School of Communications at AUCC described Dr. Anim-Wright as a distinguished leader whose work as an administrator, and a leader, impacted the entire team of the University College, and has left a legacy that will be remembered by generations. Members present at the reception which was held at the Executive Boardroom of the University College shared fond memories of their experiences with their outgoing President. Prof. Margaret Crabbe, Dean of the Sam E. Jonah School of Business described Dr. Anim-Wright as an honourable woman, a lady of repute and integrity whose style of leadership was envied by most people who encounter her. “Those of us who have not been here for long can attest to all the wonderful things said about you today. We are very grateful and wish you well” said Dr. Christopher Akwaa-Mensah, Acting President of the University College. ACHIEVEMENTS Chiefly among Dr. Anim-Wright’s achievements were the establishment of the AUCC Graduate School and her prudent financial management style. She was also credited with significant projects in the African University College of Communications such as the AUCC Health Centre, the AUCC dedicated Gmail system which has become one of the most reliable tools for internal communication at AUCC, and an Open-door policy for workers and students.
