The National Pensions Regulatory Authority (NPRA) has tasked the Social Security and National Insurance Trust (SSNIT) to take workers through the mechanisms involved in the calculation of their monthly pension payouts before they retire. Vice President of Ghana, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia has cut sod for construction works to begin on a state of the art sports complex for the Ghana Armed Forces in Tamale, Northern Region. A civil engineer, Ben Arthur, has cautioned that desilting drains in the country’s capital, Accra is not enough to prevent flooding if other drastic measures are not taken to end the annual cycle. He made these remarks in an interview with Johnnie Hughes on 3FM’s Community Connect programme on Friday May 3.
