Fishermen at Sekondi in the Western Region believe the intent of the closed season for fishing could only be achieved if it covered trawler operators as well. The closed season as explained by government and fisheries commission over the period is to allow respite to replenish the depleting fish stock in Ghana’s sea. Tema-based Delhi Public School (DPS), received a total of 26 medals, the highest for a single school in the 2019 edition of Toyota Ghana’s Dream Car Art Contest. A Canadian $10 bill has won the top prize in an international banknote competition. The bill, featuring Canadian civil rights activist Viola Desmond, beat 15 other banknotes to win the International Bank Note Society award.
