Member of Parliament for Tamale North, Alhassan Suhuyini, has accused Nana Akufo-Addo and his government of dishonesty, claiming they have been commissioning existing factories under the 1-District-1-Factory initiative. A timely intervention by neighbours saved two children and their nanny from being burnt Wednesday night when fire gutted their apartment within then Adentan SSNIT flats at a time that it was raining. Neighbours forced the main door to the room opened to rescue the three persons who shouted for help after detecting the fire in the apartment at about 7:45pm. One bedroom in the first floor of Block 87, including the bathrooms and parts of the living room were all burnt. A report by the Bank of Ghana that assesses the impact of external shocks on Ghana’s economy has revealed the cedi’s depreciation against the US$ is expected to continue throughout the year, as global events show more external threats ahead.
