Iran’s moral police have arrested 230 people at two winter solstice celebration parties in Tehran. The shortest day of the year is traditionally celebrated in Iran, where it is known as Yalda. Col Zulfikar Barfar, head of Tehran’s moral-security force, said the partygoers had been drinking and dancing at the mixed parties. The President, Nana Akufo-Addo has appointed Mr. John Kwaning Mbroh as the Deputy Managing Director of the Ghana Water Company Limited. Mr. Kwaning Mbroh would be responsible for Finance and Administration of the company. There was an unpleasant situation at the NPP headquarters as the party’s security guards assaulted journalists. A cameraman of online portal, Ghanaweb who received punches on the face was later admitted at a nearby hospital. “Women-in-Fear”, a group in the Nanumba-North district of the Northern region has given the Supreme Court a three-month ultimatum to pronounce verdict on the long standing chieftaincy dispute in Bimbilla.
