Some parents who “mysteriously” lost their wards at the Kumasi Academy Senior High School (KUMACA) are contesting claims by the Ministry of Health that they died as a result of swine flu outbreak. They claimed reports given to them by hospital officials do not suggest that their children died from the swine flu virus. Deputy Energy Minister in charge of Power, William Owuraku Aidoo has commissioned some 5 pilot mini-grid systems in the Krachie West District. “We are confident; this grid system will go a long way to meet the electricity needs of residents in these communities,” he said. The Northern Regional Police Command has arrested six persons alleged to have smuggled cache of weapons into the region. They were onboard a Nissan patrol vehicle with registration Number GE 5433- 16 that was intercepted at 10:30 am on Friday at Gambaga. Government says it would bear the funeral expenses of four students of Kumasi Academy Senior High School (KUMACA) who died as a result of the swine flu outbreak.
