The 2018 FIFA World Cup official poster has been unveiled on Tuesday, three days before the tournament draw is held. World Football legend Lev Yashin is at the front of the poster, in a very classic Soviet design. The poster will be the official logo that runs through the entire tournament in the summer of 2018. Ghanaians can look forward to a reduction in the amounts they pay as interest on loans when the various measures aimed at formalising the economy are completed, Vice President Alhaji Dr Mahamudu Bawumia has indicated. The average interest rate of 29% on loans in Ghana as at September 2017 is among the highest in Africa, with banks citing the risk of default as a major factor. The Ashanti Regional Police Command has condemned the brutality meted out to students from the University Hall of the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology. It described Sunday’s actions of the police officers as “unfortunate” and “unprofessional”.
