The Confederation of African Football (Caf) will decide the new hosts of the 2018 African Nations Championship (CHAN) on Saturday. Morocco, Equatorial Guinea and Ethiopia all bid to replace Kenya who had their right to host withdrawn by Caf due lack of preparations. Spain’s government has given Catalonia’s separatist leader five days to say whether or not he has declared independence, government sources say. If Carles Puigdemont confirms he has, the sources say, he will be given a further three days to withdraw the declaration. Failing that, they add, Madrid will invoke Article 155 of the constitution. Staff of Bolgatanga Nurses Training College embarked on sit down strike whilst students of the college staged demonstration over bad conditions in the school. Among issues raised by them are lack of accommodation for students, lack of proper sanitation, breach of procurement law, and misappropriation of college funds.
