A bridge at Afrancho-Bronkong connecting several farming communities in the Afigya Kwabre district of Ashanti Region has collapsed, making life unbearable for residents in the area. The situation has forced some residents to risk their lives to cross the Nkaadan River, on which the collapsed bridge once hanged, on foot to get to access other communities. The bridge, which links over six thousand residents at Afrancho Bronkong, Bodwesango, Maase, Besease and Atimatim among other farming communities in the district, started deteriorating three years ago. Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg has dismissed comments made by Donald Trump that the site has always been against him. The US president accused the social network of “collusion” on Twitter, branding it “anti-Trump”. He made the same claim against the New York Times and the Washington Post. Facebook will shortly hand over 3,000 political adverts to congressional investigators probing alleged Russian meddling in the US election. Hugh Hefner, founder of the international adult magazine Playboy, has died at the age of 91. Playboy Enterprises Inc said he passed away peacefully at home, from natural causes. Hefner began publishing Playboy in his kitchen at home in 1953. It became the largest-selling men’s magazine in the world, shifting seven million copies a month at its peak. Cooper Hefner, his son, said he would be “greatly missed by many”. The Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, has reiterated government’s commitment to the strengthening of bilateral relations with the People’s Republic of China.
