The man was spotted Tuesday morning riding a motorbike with the child dangerously strapped to his back with just a cloth and without any form of protection whatsoever for both of them. The West Mamprusi District Police Commander DSP Bempah has called for the assistance of the general public in identifying persons in recent robbery that left one person dead in the area. A couple arrested for murder in the south-west Russian city of Krasnodar have admitted killing up to 30 people, local media report. Dmitry Baksheev, 35, and his wife Natalia, were reportedly arrested after a dismembered body was found at the military base where they lived. Police confirmed a number of food and meat items discovered at their home were now being tested for human DNA. The Volta Regional Coordinator of the National Security has been apprehended by the police for allegedly extorting monies from traders and aiding smugglers. The Ghana Water Company is considering a shutdown of its operations at the Barekese and Owabi dams in the Ashanti region if pollution of the water bodies serving the plants is not halted. Managers say the cost of water treatment has become expensive as land reserves around the dams have been encroached on by sand winners, farmers and estate developers. The Barekese and Owabi Dams have the capacity to supply 60 million gallons of water a day to Kumasi and other parts of the Ashanti Region. But the two dams current produce about 40 million gallons of water a day.…
