
He also observed that the activities of these vigilante groups are currently spiraling out of control as the security apparatus appear helpless.
Pockets of lawless activities have been recorded in some parts of the country, majority of them attributed to supporters of the NPP.
Some of the violent attacks have been perpetuated by NPP activists against party functionaries.

For Mr. John Mahama, the blame should be laid squarely at the doorstep of the government for entertaining vigilantism over the years.
The former president took to social media, Facebook, to associate himself with a popular quote that “When you sow the wind, you reap a whirlwind!” to register his indignation.
“Political ‘vigilantism’ is spiralling out of control and government doesn’t appear to be able to deal with the situation. And the tragedy is that most of our moral society have become passive spectators,” Mr. Mahama added.
His comments attracted mixed reactions from his followers. While some agreed hundred percent with him, others made references to some of the infractions under his administration.
