A 22-year-old James Yaw Doggi has hanged himself at the Oforikrom police cell in Kumasi in the Ashanti Region. The deceased allegedly hanged himself with a piece of woolen carpet few hours after his arrest and detention. A senior police officer at the Manhyia Divisional Police Command who confirmed the incident said the deceased was arrested in the morning on Friday December 29, 2017. The Assembly member for Asokwa Newtown, Oscar Riches has been handed a one year suspension from the Kumasi Metropolitan Assembly (KMA) for misconduct. Oscar, popularly referred to as Ghana Beyeyie, was accused of assaulting the deputy regional coordinating director of the KMA, Abdul Kareem Abdellah Adam, on Wednesday, November 23, 2017. The PRO of the Accra Hearts of Oak’s supporters union, National Chapters Committee, Paa Kofi Sunsum has revealed that the club’s former head coach Kenichi Yatsuhashi was sacked after he fell in set trap. The chiefs and people of Ekumfi Abor in the Ekumfi District of the Central Region have released a 14-acre land to the government in support of one of its key job creation programmes, the one district, one factory. A farmer who allegedly sprayed pepper into the eyes of a motor rider and stole his motorbike at Agyemankata, near Kwabenya in Accra has been put before an Accra Circuit Court.
