Residents of some communities in Accra and Kasoa Tollbooth have been alerted to a possible landslide disaster, similar to the one that claimed the lives of more than 1,000 people in Freetown, Sierra Leone in August this year.   Member of Parliament for Ekumfi in the Central Region, Francis Kingsley Ato Cudjoe has described as ‘noises’ assertions that government has abandoned the One-District-One-Factory project recently launched in Ekumfi. The Ghana Police Service has announced it will from Monday, November 20, 2017 begin a general recruitment exercise to get qualified Ghanaians interested in law enforcement into the Service. Popular Ghanaian musician Tic Tac, has won GHC300,000 in damages against one of the largest retail shops in Ghana, Melcom, for using his image for billboard advertisements as ambassador for the company without any contract between the two. Captain for Eleven Wise Sporting Club, Nathaniel Ansah, has blamed the club’s failure to secure a place in the Ghana Premier League on the “carelessness” of their management.
