The Founder and leader of Divine Miracle Church in a phone interview said he has lost almost all his church members. Former chairman of Kumasi Asante Kotoko football club, Mr Herbert Mensah has presented a Kotoko Jersey to a die-hard Asante Kotoko fan who was severely injured during the Atomic junction gas explosion in Accra and is currently on admission at the 37 Military Hospital. The defeated Cruiser Weight Boxing Champion, Briamah Issah Kamoko, alias Bukom Banku has admitted that it was good he lost the bout against Bastie Samir over the weekend. Police in the Northern Region have arrested a native of Bawku in the Upper East region for parading himself as a military officer with the 6BN Regiment in Tamale. Issah Abdul Mubarik, 37, arrived at the police station on October 16, 2017 in a military uniform to hand over another suspect whom he claimed stole his (Mubarik’s) motorcycle some months back,  the Tamale District Police Commander, Superintendent Dinam Zoiku narrated. “Sergeant Mubarik” told investigators that he was a soldier with the 6BN in Tamale and went ahead to write that in his statement to the police as a complainant. The Eastern Regional Chairman of the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC), Bismarck Tawiah Boateng has threatened to sue a private newspaper, Daily Guide, for defamation. According to Bismarck Tawiah Boateng, the newspaper would have to meet him in court to indicate the portion of the Professor Kwesi Botchwey committee report that said that “me Bismarck Tawiah Boateng have pocketed 1 million Ghana cedis” Tuesday’s edition of Daily Guide carried a story which the paper claimed was culled from the 455-page committee report, with the banner headline “PROBE NDC CHAIR”. The people of Diaso in the Upper Denkyira West District are appealing to authorities to convert an abandoned community day Senior High School constructed by former President Mahama into a clinic, teacher or nursing training college. The Diaso Day Community SHS has since construction been left unused by the people who are citing long travel distance as the main reason, indicating there is no bus to convey students to and from the school.
