Graphic designers in Ghana have proposed the establishment of a regulatory council to among others, ensure professionalism in the industry. Former caterers under the School Feeding Program in the Central Region Monday morning demonstrated at Elmina in the Komenda-Edina-Eguafo-Abirem Municipal Assembly, demanding payment of arrears owed them. Some of the old caterers said they have not been paid for 125 days. Management of Marwako Fast Food has commended its workers for their strict adherence to the company’s safety mechanisms, which prevented an escalation of a gas leakage at its La branch in Accra Monday. The Kumasi Metropolitan Assembly has asked management of State Transport Corporation (STC) to temporarily halt their operations at the Neoplan bus terminal at Asafo. The move is aimed at ensuring calm and order at the Asafo bus terminal where VIP bus operators are preventing STC from also operating from the commercial transport hub in Kumasi. A tigress that killed four people in the west Indian state of Maharashtra died on Saturday, days after a court upheld an order to kill it. The animal was electrocuted by a fence erected by a farmer to keep out wild boar, wildlife officials said.
